This is an extremely finely painted small oil on board, measuring 11.5 x 9.5 inches. It is signed lower right "O. Moncayo" and titled lower left "The Tungurahua, Ecuador". The wood frame shows some light rubbing but is still in very presentable condition.

Oswaldo Moncayo signs his work "O. Moncayo". He was the oldest son of the painter Hector Moncayo, and painted some of the finest miniature paintings. Oswaldo died in 1986.
